Tita Charm and Tito Dandy also came at midnight to celebrate Christmas with us. Christmas 2014 was also extra special to them because it was their first Christmas together as newly weds. What an honor to have them celebrate with us! =)
After eating our noche buena, Hendrik begged us to open 2 of his gifts from under the Christmas tree. He surely cannot wait until morning to open his Christmas presents. He may have felt that his long-time wish would come true. And sure enough, he was not disappointed. We saw in his expression the happiness he felt when he opened the big red gift from Daddy and Fyodor and saw Buzz Lightyear toy! He had been waiting for Buzz Lightyear for 6 months, and his wish was granted on Christmas day. From then on, Hendrik was always with Buzz Lightyear from the moment he wakes up and keeps Buzz in a safe place when he sleeps at night. The other gift he opened that night was from Mommy, a red school backpack. It was not as impressive as Buzz Lightyear but it was practical. Hendrik is now using it everyday in school…

Another would-be-tradition that we started and wanted to continue on the next Christmases was singing of Christmas carols right after eating noche buena. Hendrik graced us in playing the keyboard while all of us sang Christmas carols. Back in 2011 when Hendrik was 3 years old, he also played the keyboard with Christmas carols. Our plan starting from Christmas 2014 was Hendrik will not only play the keyboards but all of us will join him in singing Christmas carols. We plan to do it again in the next Christmas in order to invite and truly feel the spirit of Christmas and the season.

Fyodor colouring with Ate AleezaWe opened our Christmas presents the morning after. Tita Leomie and Aleeza visited us and delivered gifts to us! Our visitors continued on until evening when Tito Allen, Tita Joyee, Tito Edwin and Tita Wheng came and had Christmas dinner with us. They all brought gifts for the kids! =) We then had another round of singing Christmas carols while Hendrik played the keyboard for us.

"Merry Christmas!"It was a wonderful Christmas celebration. It was filled with happiness, blessings, love, fun, friends and more gifts. As Hendrik said, “Cheers for next year’s Christmas!”
