Preview: Bethesda Sunbeam Kindergarten

Hendrik and I had our first preview of his pre-school, Bethesda Serangoon Sunbeam Kindergarten, last 29 October 2011. We were invited to their K2 Graduation and Concert 2011. As Daddy and Tito Jared had a photo marathon that day, it was my 2nd exclusive date with Hendrik. Joseph and I thought that it was nice of Bethesda Sunbeam Kindergarten to invite us (future parent & student) to their school event as one way of welcoming us as part of their kindergarten family. =)

The event started at 2:30pm. Since Hendrik and I arrived 5 minutes after 2:30 we were not able to secure a seat near the stage, hence we squeezed in at the back. Here, Hendrik together with other young guests watching the students perform their acts / plays.

After some time, he got tired and bored (I guess), so he asked for milk and lied down on my lap.

After the graduation and concert, all were treated with refreshments on the first floor. While munching the food prepared for everyone we were also allowed to take a look at the classrooms / halls; so Hendrik and I took the opportunity to tour around the area where he will be attending his classes starting next year.

- Hendrik with the traffic light signs at the entrance of one of the halls -

- Looking at the window at the pre-nursery area -

- Nursery area welcome sign -

He particularly liked the Big Ben display inside the nursery area. He spent plenty of time changing the dials.

- Looking and touching the displays outside the K1/K2 areas -

After spending 2 hours at Sunbeam Kindergarten, we went to Nex Mall which is only 5 minutes taxi ride from Sunbeam. We walked around the mall for a couple of minutes before heading to Mad Jack for Hendrik’s dinner since he did not eat the food at Sunbeam.

As usual, I ordered the only food he eats – chicken nuggets with French fries, and additional steamed rice.

- Hendrik helping himself with the rice -

Our dessert – chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. We both loved the chocolate cake. It was still warm when it was served to us.
