Hanoi is Love

It’s almost December and we will be travelling again for our year-end family holiday. I haven’t uploaded our travel photos from Hanoi, Vietnam last year so I am posting them here now before my pending blog updates will pile up even more.

Hendrik liked and enjoyed our travel trip to Hanoi from 28 December 2013 to 02 January 2014 that he said he wanted to go there again this year. But, we told him that we would visit another place that we haven’t been to.

In Hanoi, it was his second time to experience winter. The first one was in Hong Kong when he was about a year and a half old. Although the winter was not the type with snow and below 0 degree celcius temperature, it was cold enough to have us wear winter clothes and jackets. The coldest temperature we experienced in Hanoi was about 4 degree celcius early in the morning. It was cold for us since we don’t live in the Western Hemisphere and/or in a country with winter and snowy climate. And since it was cold, there was no need for us to bathe everyday as we didn’t perspire…  =)

Hendrik liked wearing his winter wear. He made sure that before going out of our hotel he had his gloves and bonnet on. He also needed to have his scarf with him just in case it gets really chilly.

What made the trip even more special was because it was our first overseas family trip with our dear Fyodor. The cold climate made Fyodor sleep even while we were out and about the streets of Hanoi. The cold climate also made us eat more as we burn calories and energy fast. Joseph and I particularly liked the Vietnamese noodles with very fresh veggies. It was included in our meals for lunch and dinner.

Hendrik’s favorite part of the trip was when we spent the entire afternoon until evening at Lenin Park. The park is spacious and covers more than 50 hectares and has a lake in the middle. Actually, Hendrik was looking for it on the map on the next day after arriving in Hanoi.

Our trip to Hanoi was a memorable one as with our previous trips. We are hoping to collect more fond travel memories. And we are looking forward to our upcoming year end family trip next month!  =)
